First of all, oh thank heavens, purple and black. That is right, not only can you get away with wearing this rather mysterious color combination on New Year’s Eve, but you should most definitely should. This can be a great palette — again, as long as you do it right.

The colors are great for nighttime occasions and, like say, they lend a definite air of mystery to your persona. The key is, do not go all purple. Your outfit, shoes, bag, and accessories should not be all the same color — black is included for a reason.

And it just so happens that animal print booties, like the picture seen, are all the rage, absolutely all the rage! However, they only work with short skirts or mini dresses.

You could do worse than to epitomize some glitz and glamor on the last night of the year, you know? These dresses are perfectly festive and will add some definite glitter to the evening.

Think about how much will be sparkling on the big night: the lights, the candles, the champagne, the cider. Why shouldn’t you sparkle too?

This look is spectacular — but you have to be careful when trying to pull off this style. If you glam it up with your dress then you need to tone it down with everything else. If you take the metallic look too far, then you might wind up looking more trashy than flashy, and no one wants that!

Let me tell it like it is: whether you are going to a big bash, or if you are spending the big night with a small group of friends, even if you are planning a special night with the love of your life, you have absolutely got to think about your outfit.

See, it is like this: have you ever heard that saying that whatever you are doing at midnight on New Year’s Eve, that is what you will be doing for the entire next yet. I have to tell you, there is some truth to that.

So say the same is true about what you wear. What you are wearing on New Year’s Eve is like a preview of coming attractions concerning your sense of style in the coming year.

You see, ideally, you should have a short, flirty little LBD for fun partying. You need a longer one as well, one that grazes the ankles, for more formal occasions. Thirdly, you need one that reaches just above or right below the knee, for more in between occasions.

The same goes for black skirts. You should have three in varying sizes, for different holiday occasions. Why? Because they can be paired with a variety of tops, from dressy to casual. The added bonus here is that this versatility will allow you to go from day to evening with a minimum of muss and fuss.

It means you’re going to have to spend a ton of money making sure you’ve got the right party clothes in your wardrobe, right? Wrong! It doesn’t mean that at all!

Combine that with a strong knowledge of the savviest styles and hottest accessories, and you will look stellar at dozens of parties without ever having to spend too much money.

If you are like me, you probably have no idea what trends are out there for gloves.  Well, I have the scoop now and I am going to share that with you!  First and foremost, it is the leather gloves.

Leather this season seems to be extremely popular and definitely a fashion trend do!  If you have some leather gloves that you have been dying to wear, slip ‘em on now!

What this looks like is something off of Project Runway, where the talent is there but the time is not and it almost looks like it could have been a grudge-punk rocker challenge.  Is that what happened to this design?  Was it a challenge?

To me – this is actually a pair of sunglasses that is going to change the face of Chanel, for they are so beautiful they are almost icon. These little glasses are actually part of the Chanel Cruise Collection 2009/10 and honestly, I think that they look amazing.

They should be hitting the shelves in Boutiques all over the world next month and just in time for Christmas right?
