This summer — not to mention this fall and probably the winter of 2009 as well — the real trend for us girls is … boys. It has gone way beyond boyfriend jeans and boyfriend shorts, boyfriend shirts or even boyfriend underwear. Catwalk Report is proud to, well, report that now, we are taking it from head to toe — sort of.
Do not go raiding your boyfriend’s, husband’s, or dad’s closet yet, ladies. You don’t need to start shopping in the men’s section just yet. As with any truly classy and likely enduring trend, you want to make sure you keep it simple here. You only need one or two boyish pieces, not an entire ensemble. You want it to stay feminine as well.
The whole point of this trend is true androgyny. You want to maintain the elegant balance between the masculine and the feminine. The finishing result promises to look both edgy and stunning.
